No Toys: A Zen Inspired Online Retreat
Saturday, January 30, 2021 - 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
With Matthew Daniell
Pre-requisite: Ongoing Students
We can approach practice with a lot of doing, complexity, and play with techniques in a way as if they were toys. In this half-day retreat will embrace a spirit of simplicity, freshness, and intimacy that Matthew found in his training in Japan in the Soto Zen school, where there is an emphasis on 'Just Sitting', or 'Just Walking', etc.. Using this direct wholehearted approach to mindfulness practice can be seamlessly brought into daily life activities. Simple instructions will be provided at the beginning with our shared zoom practice in silence providing a unique simplified approach to group practice. There will be an open discussion period at the end. This retreat is not designed for complete beginners, all others are welcome to attend.
Once you have registered for this retreat, you will receive a confirmation email, along with the Zoom link.
