Mindful Presence: A Retreat for Beginners and Newer Students
Saturday, July 24, 2021 - 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
(An in-person retreat)
With Ted Jones
Insight meditation is a time-tested method of mind training that enables us to change our relationship to each moment’s experience, and thus our lives. In this online retreat, specially designed for beginners and those with limited meditation experience, we will systematically explore (through sitting and walking meditation periods, teachings, and discussion) how to calm and steady the mind and see more clearly. As we strengthen this capacity we begin to move from suffering and reactivity to responsiveness, freshness and ease. We learn how to touch and live in the mindful moment.
This retreat will be held in our spacious screened-in porch. While on the porch, we will comply with the state Covid regulations:
* The Center will be cleaned before and after the retreat;
* We will maintain social distancing; seating will be six feet apart;
* Please bring your own face mask.
If you think you have been exposed to COVID‑19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, please stay home and call your doctor.
Once you have registered for this retreat, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note that because this retreat will be held on our large, screened in porch, it is limited to six participants.
