(Five Week Series 7/6-8/31) Registration Open
Pema Chodron’s Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change provides guidance and wisdom for navigating the difficult times in our lives, both personally and in the world. Based on the “Three Commitments,” from the Zen tradition, she teaches that we can let go of fear-based clinging to fearlessly embrace the groundlessness of being human. This book offers clear, down-to-earth writing, compassionate wisdom, and useful practices – an excellent foundation for our shared discussion and practice.
This is a five week series meeting every other week from 7/6 - 8/31. There are no drop-ins; you must be registered to attend.
Students will need access to a copy of the book Living Beautifully with Uncertainty and Change, by Pema Chodron, and will be expected to complete the readings in between group gatherings.
For the first session, the assignment is to read Chapters 1 and 2. Please select a short passage to read to the group and share how the passage relates to your meditation practice.
PRE-REQUISITE: At least one year of Insight Meditation practice or with permission of the instructor, Barbara Dowd.
