The Science and Practice of Compassion
Saturday, December 4, 2021 - 10:00 am to 4:30 pm
A Full Day Workshop with Matthew Daniell
and Guest Teacher, Effie Stavrulaki
Compassion is one of the four boundless qualities of the heart the Buddha emphasized. It goes beyond our empathetic, emotional response to suffering, enabling us to take wise and kind action without getting overwhelmed. Modern science provides clear validation that compassion practice has many benefits including better physical and mental health. Practicing compassion is beneficial for self and others.
