Understanding Calm and Insight
Saturday, June 18, 2022 - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
An On-Site Full Day Retreat with Half Day Option
With Chas DiCapua
We hear meditation instructions that say to be mindful of the breath (or body or sounds), and return the attention to the breath once we’ve realized it’s wandered off. This helps the heart and mind to begin to settle and be more at ease.
This is the foundation of the practice, but not the whole story of Insight meditation. What is the whole story, and how do we do it? The morning will be primarily devoted to the foundational practice of establishing calm in the heart and mind. During the afternoon we will explore these questions in our sitting and walking practice, as well as in group discussion.
Once you have registered for this offering, you will be sent a confirmation via email.
There is a half-day option from 9am-12:30pm.
