In terms of yoga, Jim Austin received his initial yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Heath in 2004. His teaching style is influenced by combining aspects of Yin and Vini yoga. He has been trained at the Center for Mindfulness at UMass to lead Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction groups, which include meditation and yoga. He has had a long-term personal practice in both disciplines, with Larry Rosenberg being his primary meditation teacher. Currently he is the lead teacher at eMindful, an organization that provides mindfulness based stress reduction via online classes. Jim lives in Medford, is married and the father of three children.
